Owning a tiny home has never been easier
How much does a tiny home cost?
Payments start at $809 monthly for a $92,959 tiny home. Most buyers finance their purchase, with payment between $809 to $1,600 and a deposit between $8,000-$25,000. If you’re looking for cheaper options, we also offer tiny house listings with used homes at lower prices.
At Tumbleweed, we work with many lenders to help you find the best financing deal. While popular lenders like Lightstream are often suggested, they might not always offer the lowest rates. Our team can help you save money each month by finding the best lender for you. Learn more about our financing options or get pre-qualified to see your monthly costs.
Where can I park a tiny house?
About 75% of Tumbleweed Tiny Home owners park their homes on private property. The other 25% choose tiny home communities or RV parks. Many people place their tiny homes on family land or in their own backyard. Some even rent land from friends. If you don’t have your own land, we have a list of over 250 tiny home communities across the U.S. to help you find a good spot.
How do I connect to utilities?
Tumbleweed Tiny Homes are built to meet traditional home standards and come with RV hookups. They include a water inlet, a 3″ sewer connection, and a 50 amp electric hookup. Once the hookups are set up, connecting your tiny home is quick and simple. Unlike RVs that use onboard tanks, Tumbleweeds connect directly to a sewer or septic system, making them more convenient and permanent. Tumbleweeds are also built to handle all four seasons, so they stay comfortable in different climates.
How long does it take to get one?
If you buy a new or used tiny home from our inventory, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks for delivery. If you’re financing your purchase, the loan approval process typically takes 3-5 weeks.
If you want something more customized, you can order a luxury tiny home built just for you. Custom tiny homes usually take about 3-4 months to complete. Our tiny homes on wheels come in three sizes, from 217 to 390 square feet on the main floor, plus a roomy sleeping loft.
About Tumbleweed
The Beginning of Tumbleweed Tiny Homes
Tumbleweed Tiny Homes was started in 1999, changing how people view small living spaces. Our first tiny house on wheels was named “Tumbleweed” because it gave people the freedom to move it anywhere while also planting roots.
Joining the RV Industry
In 2013, Tumbleweed became a licensed RV manufacturer by joining the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). This allowed us to focus on making high-quality Tiny House RVs that meet RV standards.
Leadership and Vision
Steve Weissmann leads Tumbleweed and played a key role in creating the first Tiny House RV and the first Green Certified Tiny House RV. His passion for tiny homes comes from his personal experience of downsizing.
Who Buys Tumbleweed Tiny Homes?
Tumbleweed Tiny Homes attract a variety of people. Young couples, single women, and businesses use our tiny homes for different purposes, such as rentals, mobile offices, or retail displays. About 25% of our sales are to businesses.
